I got excellent grades, made the Dean's list, was part of Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, used the Post 9/11 GI BILL and I was the Project Manager for both Senior Project and Capstone Project for Keller in Federal Way, WA. Those campuses in WA are closed now. Just received a letter in the mail in July 2017 that there was a settlement made for false advertisement, which is true. I did not get a job within 6 months of my field and it has been almost 5 years now. All one can do is apply right? There is still statistics involved when hiring, too. No one can deny that.
So far, I love DeVry. My professors a very helpful and are personally invested in my education. I love the small classes and ideal teacher to student ratio. Also, the advising team and financial aid department are very help. My advisor, Scott, is such an awesome guy and really cares about my well-being in school. Also, Andy, my financial advisor, is always on top of my loan issues and is very thorough in answering my questions.
I only got around $300 dollars as part of the settlement. I assume it is because I was on the GI Bill and military awards. It is really sad...I should not be surprised. I had very poor treatment from the staff in Washington State vs. CA. I think Bellevue is the only one open now. In the end Yeshua is still coming back to restore everything to those who love him...AMEN :)
Devry Keller Graduate - The teachers are good, but not all of them. My experience with them was good except for the academic department. Trying to get in touch with your counselor is a joke. She is always gone and the other counselors have told me on several occasions that I must wait for my individual counselor to take care of issues, unsatisfactory. If starting over I would have gone to another college where there is more time to learn and the teachers are better.
Stay away from this school at all cost.
DeVry is a University for adults. Not a place for kids that are hoping that someone will guide them through the process. This is the ideal place to go if you already are working your field of study. This is a boot camp - if you are self motivated, know exactly what you want and are committed to completing a degree that will result in skills that you can apply back at your job tomorrow - go to DeVry. If you are hoping to blow someone away with your academic prowess, go to MIT or Harvard.
I have also discovered that on multiple occasions I have been overcharged for my classes.
When I signed up for Devry they promised to find me additional financial aid. Now in my Senior year my financial aid is drying up and I haven't received a single email or call about additional financial aid. In addition no one told my that my scholarship was going to run out in the middle of my senior year or that there was a limit to the amount of federal loans I could have and that too has run out.
